Paso Robles & Cambria

One week post-retreat and I’m still reliving how amazing the whole experience was—especially being surrounded by the most beautiful, authentic group of humans. I’m already starting to plan the next one, but before I do a full deep dive into all the retreat magic, I thought I’d try out being a travel blogger.

So here’s a list of the wonderful local businesses we collaborated with, the places we visited, and my personal recommendations from the best little two-day trip to Cambria—where four of us went on a post-retreat “honeymoon” (just keeping y’all guessing).

Inn Paradiso

This has quickly become one of my absolute favorite places in the world. I’d move in tomorrow if I could. The property owner, Steve, has incredible style and even better stories—his presence is woven into the soul of the place in the most beautiful way.

It’s basically my dream retreat: part cozy country cabin, part luxe getaway, part globally curated art space, part spiritual sanctuary. And yes, I’m completely obsessed with the Maria Sabina suite—named after the original mushroom medicine mama.

Every room has its own unique personality, and the shared spaces are pure magic—from the hammock on the balcony, to the vibrant, well-water pool, to the grassy lawn where we did yoga and gong baths each day. We had the most fun, soul and body nourishing dinner parties in the dining area, and ended our nights in the kind of living room made for late-night stories (sometimes ghost stories) and listening/dancing to music.

I truly can’t wait to return to Inn Paradiso—not just for future retreats, but also for solo creative and healing escapes. This place is something so special I almost want to keep it a secret—while also telling everyone I know that they have to go and experience it for themselves.

Villa Creek Cellars & Landsby Wines

If you know me at all, you probably already know I have a bit of a thing for wine—especially when it’s organic, biodynamic, and local (and red). I’m also lucky enough to have a family friend who is a wildly inspiring and passionate winemaker in Paso Robles. I met his twin sister in college, and she quickly became one of my best friends and roommates. We introduced our families to each other, and now their family feels like the coolest second family a girl could ever dream of. This connection was one of the reasons I chose Paso Robles for my first retreat, and I’m so happy with that choice (and the kitchen cabinet full of wine I brought home).

The wines I’ve had from my visits to Villa Creek over the past couple of years have completely spoiled me—they’re honestly my favorite wines I’ve ever tasted and have maybe turned me into a bit of a wine snob. Now, Oliver and his wife, Natalie, have launched their own brand, Landsby Wines, and if I could only drink one wine for the rest of my life, and it was their red blend, I would die happy.

Touring the vineyard and tasting room, and learning all about regenerative farming, biodynamic winemaking, and, of course, tasting all the wines—was one of my favorite parts of the retreat. It’s always such a fun, insightful, and delicious experience, and it perfectly complemented the magic of the weekend. If you’re in the area, I one million percent recommend going for a tour and tasting at Villa Creek, and definitely reach out to my friends at Landsby Wines to grab some of their wines and local recommendations.

In Bloom

One of my favorite restaurants in Paso Robles—and the perfect spot for a group dinner after a day of vineyard exploring and wine tasting— is In Bloom. The menu features amazing, fresh food sourced from local farms, and their cocktails are just as vibrant and delicious. The outdoor seating is ideal for soaking up the sun and the laid-back vibe, and the shared plates make it easy to try a little bit of everything. It was such a fun and delicious experience, and a perfect match for the spirit of the retreat.

Central Coast Trailrides

I went up to Paso in March to do some retreat prep and tried out Central Coast Trailrides. As a very inexperienced horseback rider, I had the best experience with my guide, Olivia, who convinced me to bring the whole group here (and also to start riding more often). The trails on the Santa Margarita Ranch are beautiful and natural, and we had the most scenic, joy-filled, golden hour adventure. It was honestly one of my favorite days ever, and this experience was a big part of it.

Sinton & Sons

I picked up so much local meat for our dinner parties at Inn Paradiso from Sinton and Sons, and it was all so good. We got filets, lamb chops, and bacon—and everything was top quality. They were super helpful, answered all my questions, were friendly and easy to order from, and gave me a great deal. It made the whole experience feel easy and special, and the local food was such a hit—also thanks to the best chef ever, who I’m lucky enough to have as a neighbor and bff back in LA, and I’ve been thoroughly enjoying sharing the few leftovers (and obviously wine) we brought home.

The Neighborhood

My go-to stop for juices and a healthy breakfast or lunch every time I’m in Paso Robles is The Neighborhood. I always swing by when I need a snack or a detox green juice (to balance out all the wine). We loved having their juices at the house, whether for a morning pick-me-up or an evening cocktail mixer.

Cambria

I took a little two day trip over to the coast and fell in love with this little beach town and the three men I was traveling with who really made me feel like a princess… or maybe that was the castle.

White Water Hotel

The White Water lobby lounge was a peaceful spot to hang out and enjoy a glass of wine from the bar, and they brought scones from a local bakery, coffee, and mimosas to our rooms in the mornings—so I have no complaints. The location was perfect for walking to dinner and catching the most stunning beach sunsets. And if you're cooler than me and know how to ride a bike, they had bikes available for all the guests.

The Sea Chest

Cash only oyster bar with ghosty vibes, good seafood, good wine, & good people. This was the perfect spot for us to walk to on our first night getting the full Cambria experience.

Brydge

This was maybe one of my favorite meals of my life. The restaurant, nestled in a charming little house, was absolutely beautiful. Golden light poured through the windows when we were there in the late afternoon, and we had the whole place to ourselves. The food was unbelievable—honestly, this whole day, from the castle to this meal to microdosing on Moonstone Beach, was one of the most magical ever. I had some of a butter flight with gochujang and anchovy butter, a Wagyu burger that was everything I needed, shared pistachio gelato with smoked salt and chocolate pudding that was actually from heaven, and of course some perfectly paired organic wine. Shout out to Steve at Inn Paradiso for all the best Cambria recommendations.

Hearst Castle

It’s wild, it’s magical, and I’ve never seen anything like it—but I also feel like I was definitely there in a past life. It’s the future retreat location of my dreams! We did the Grand Rooms Tour, and the outdoor and indoor pools were my favorite part of the whole extravagant experience. I loved learning about the eccentric history of the Enchanted Hill, the buildings, the decor, and, William Randolph Hearst—and his badass female architect, Julia Morgan. I definitely want to go back for the other tours, spend a whole day there, maybe even move in… we’ll see how powerful my manifesting abilities are.

Bob & Jan’s Liquor Store

We were walking to lunch when we came across this liquor store that had my parents’ names, so I obviously took it as a sign and was feeling all the spiritual and at-home vibes. It was a great little shop… Unfortunately, we did not win the Mega Millions on the lottery tickets we bought there.

Moonstone Beach

I laughed, I cried, I fell in love (with everything and everyone), I found pretty rocks, I climbed bigger rocks (and trees), had a whole photo shoot, and was in absolute awe of the beauty of nature. The agate and jasper stones scattered along the shore, ocean mist, stunning sunset, birds dancing overhead, and bunnies hopping through the colorful and otherworldly wildflowers, plus a little mushroom microdose and my babes (best friends), gave me an experience of pure childlike joy, presence, and appreciation for nature's magic—leaving me excited to return again soon for more beautiful adventures.

Hidden Kitchen

On our way home we stopped at Hidden Kitchen Cayucos for a much needed healthy meal + some caffeine for the drive back to LA. Everything was fresh and delicious and the smoothies… well I’ll just leave you with this embarrassing pic of me…
